Ministry of Labor Launches Program to Reduce Unemployment

The head of Labor and Social Affairs in Parwan province said that the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has initiated a program aimed at introducing young graduates to governmental institutions and offices to reduce unemployment.

According to the department, the process of collecting documents from young graduates has begun and will be submitted to the Ministry of Labor upon completion.

"Those who have educational certificates and are currently unemployed can submit their CVs to us. We will introduce them to various organizations to create job opportunities for them,” stated Qudratullah Zakir, head of Labor and Social Affairs in Parwan.

Meanwhile, some young people in Parwan said that the lack of job opportunities in the country has pushed many toward illegal migration.

"Unemployment causes individuals to lose everything they have and fall into confusion. We request the Islamic Emirate create job opportunities for young people,” said Mohammad Saber Farooqi, a resident of Parwan.

"If job opportunities are provided in our country, we will no longer witness the deaths of our compatriots at the borders,” said Mohammad Anwar, another resident of Parwan.

This comes as in recent months Pakistan and Iran have intensified the expulsion of undocumented migrants.
