Thirteen members of a family, including women and children, were killed by unidentified gunmen on Tuesday night in the Ali Sher and Tere Zayi district of Khost province.

The relatives of the victims are urging authorities to arrest those responsible and bring them to justice. According to them, the family had no enmity with anyone.

The incident took place in the Bokhana area of Ali Sher and Tere Zayi district in Khost.

Teika Khan Mahir, a relative of the victims, stated: "We have no enmity with anyone and do not suspect anyone. A few suspects have been detained and taken to the district center, but further details will emerge after criminal investigations."

Meanwhile, local residents are calling for the identification and arrest of the perpetrators.

Sediqullah Siyar, a resident of Ali Sher and Tere Zayi district, said: "We urge security officials to arrest the perpetrators as soon as possible and execute them publicly so that no one dares to commit such crimes in the future."

Azim, another resident of the district, stated: "We ask the government to prevent such incidents. These kinds of events have negative effects on both the present and future generations."

The Khost security command has reported that five individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Abdul Halim Haidar, the head of security for Khost security command, said: "At 7 AM, we arrested the suspected individuals. Five people have been detained in connection with this incident, and further investigations are ongoing."

Authorities at the Khost security command added that the investigation is continuing and the perpetrators will soon be brought to justice.
