Acting Defense Minister Mawlawi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid, acting Interior Minister Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, and the head of intelligence, Abdul Haq Wasiq, presented their security report to the leader of the Islamic Emirate in Kandahar.
Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, stated that the acting ministers of defense and interior, and the head of intelligence, presented the national security report to Sheikh Hibatullah Akhundzada, the leader of the Islamic Emirate.
According to Mujahid, in this meeting, the proposals from security institutions were reviewed, and guidelines and recommendations were provided to them.
Hamdullah Fetrat, deputy spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, stated: "In this meeting, the proposals of the mentioned security organs were heard, and they were given the necessary guidance regarding implementation and work resilience. Also, essential decisions were made for improving order, equipping, and enhancing the capacity of these institutions."
Some political analysts believe that although security has been provided since the establishment of the Islamic Emirate in the country, coordination between security institutions is still crucial.
"Afghanistan has now achieved security after fifty years. Security is ensured in the country, but for better security, the three organs must have more coordination so that security is better provided in cities, villages, and districts," said Sayed Abdullah Sadiq, a political analyst.
"For ensuring security, what is important is information, and for exchanging information, coordination is essential. Just as there is coordination among administrative and executive forces, good security is provided and guaranteed. These meetings, where reports are presented or orders are given, increase obedience and attention," said Abdul Sadiq Hamidzoi, another political analyst.
Two weeks ago, the Kandahar provincial authorities announced in a statement that a meeting of the purification commission, chaired by Mawlari Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid, the acting minister of defense, was held in Kandahar.
In this meeting, the deputy minister of security from the ministry of interior, the governor of Kandahar, a representative from the leadership office of the Islamic Emirate, and several military and civilian officials from Kandahar were present; however, the acting minister of interior did not attend the meeting.
