26 Insurgents Killed in Afghan Operations

At least 26 armed insurgents killed during Afghan forces air and ground operations in the past 24 hours in parts of the country, the Ministry of Defense said. 

Mohammad Radmanish, the ministry’s spokesman, said that among the 26 killed, 12 Taliban were killed in Khak-e-Safed and Balablok districts and in the capital of Farah province; six were killed in Trinkot district of Uruzgan province, four were killed in Greshk district of Helmand province, three were killed in Faryab province and one in Ghazni province. 

According to Radmanish during the operations 20 other insurgents were wounded and 19 others including 17 suspects were detained by the security forces. 

Radmanish did not provide more information about the operation. 

Taliban did not confirm the claims.
