Afghan Teenagers Jailed For Gang-Raping Student In Austria

Three Afghan migrants, aged between 16 and 18, have been sentenced to between five and six years in prison after being found guilty of gang-raping a student in a public toilet in the Austrian capital Vienna.

According to the UK’s Daily Mail, the teenagers were all unaccompanied minors who arrived in Europe via the Balkans.

The 21-year-old female student, originally from Turkey, had been targeted at Vienna’s Paterstern station in April last year.

The court heard the victim has returned to her home country of Turkey but is still suffering psychological trauma due to the incident, reported the Daily Mail.

Passing sentence, the judge ordered the two 18-year-olds to serve six years in prison and the 16-year-old five years in jail.

The teenagers reportedly remained expressionless during the sentencing with two of the boys apologizing to their victim.
