Afghanistan Beat West Indies by 41 Runs in T20I Match

Afghanistan’s National Cricket Team beat West Indies by 41 runs during Saturday night’s match to level their three-match Twenty20 series 1-1.

Karim Janat took five wickets as West Indies earned only 106-8 in the chase for Afghanistan's 147-7. Janat's 26 was also the joint highest scorer for his side, with opener Hazratullah Zazai.

The 21-year-old Janat was the day's top performer, picking the wickets of Evin Lewis, Shimron Hetmyer, Sherfane Rutherford, Kieron Pollard and Keemo Paul.

Afghanistan’s top batsmen for the match were Hazratullah Zazai (26), Janat (26) and Gulbadin Naib (24).

The final match is also at Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, India—where Afghanistan plays their home games—on Sunday at 6 pm (Kabul time).

Previously, West Indies beat Afghanistan 3-0 in their one-day games before the T20 series.
