Army Helicopter Crash Lands In Parwan

An Afghan National Army helicopter crashed in Koh-e-Safi district in Parwan province on Friday night, a local official said.

The helicopter was belonged to an Afghan Army Special Force unit that crash landed in Mandi Kol village in the district – almost 50 kilometers in the north of Kabul.

The provincial governor’s spokesman said five people have been killed or wounded in the incident, though he did not mention an exact figure in this regard.

The spokesman did not provide more details on the incident. 

This comes five Afghan National Army soldiers, including two pilots, were killed when an ANA chopper crashed in Farah province on September 15.
