At least eight Taliban militants were killed in an airstrike in Tarinkot, the capital city of Uruzgan province, on Tuesday, the 205th Atal Corps said in a statement on Wednesday. 

The statement said four other militants were wounded in the airstrike.

The airstrike was carried out by Afghan Air Force in an area related to Tarinkot City where Taliban members had gathered, the statement said.

Taliban so far has not commented on the report.
