Five Afghan Forces Soldiers Killed in Taliban Attack in Kunduz

At least five soldiers were killed and eight others were taken captive by Taliban during a clash in northern Kunduz province on Tuesday night, local security sources confirmed on Wednesday.

The fighting started at 11pm local time in Khan Abad district after the Taliban attacked security check points, the sources said.

Local security officials said the Taliban also sustained casualties, without providing numbers.

The Taliban have confirmed the clashes.
