A clash erupted along the Durand Line in the Dand-e-Patan district of Paktia between the Islamic Emirate and Pakistani military on Saturday afternoon.
Mohammad Yar Jawad, spokesman of the Islamic Emirate’s 203 Mansoori corps, confirmed that the clash began Saturday afternoon.
Jawad did not provide details.
A source told TOLOnews that the Pakistani military opened fire when the Islamic Emirate forces were building a station along the Durand line on Afghan soil.
The source said the clash lasted for two and a half hours and the casualties have not been reported so far.
A clash occurred in the same district last Tuesday.
After the previous fighting, the deputy spokesman of the Islamic Emirate told media the Afghan and Pakistani side would work to prevent such incidents in the future.
