Rawash Festival Begins in Maidan Wardak

The scientific, cultural, and sports festival "Rowash" has been launched in Behsud 1 district of Maidan Wardak.

At this festival, various traditional games are played, and handicrafts and other home products, as well as books, are exhibited

"Among our Kochi brothers and Hazaras, the existing contradictions become solved,” said Hekmat Wayar, a participant.

“I am happy to participate in such a festival where there were different fields of sports,” said Islamuddin Shahrohi, a participant.

Local officials in the province said the purpose of launching the program is to strengthen social relations between ethnic groups and to keep alive traditional games and handicrafts.

“Scientists, teachers, and writers in every school should launch such festivals,” said Habibullah Mujahid, head of the Information and Culture department in Maidan Wardak.

“We want the government to support such programs,” said Ali Agha, a participant.

Meanwhile, Maidan Wardak's governor said that they are trying to increase the launch of such festivals with the aim of strengthening the culture of reading books, developing handicrafts, and solving problems between ethnic groups.

“We ask the Ministry of Information and Culture to hold more of such festivals and picnics in Maidan Wardak,” said Bakhtiar Maaz, governor of Maidan Wardak.

Rawash Festival is launched every year in Behsud 1 district of Maidan Wardak. Along with locals, a number of residents of other provinces, including athletes if traditional games, also participate.
