The construction of 15 health centers in the center and districts of Uruzgan has started.
Mohammadullah Rouhani, head of public health in Uruzgan, said that the construction of these health centers will cost $600,000.
According to Rouhani, among these centers, 4 centers will be built in the city of Trinkot and 11 other centers will be built in the districts of the province whose residents do not have access to health services.
“In total, 15 health centers and four centers will be in the (provincial) center and other centers will be in the districts of the province,” said Mohammadullah Rouhani.
“These projects are being implemented in Uruzgan province, and according to the information you have, these projects are development projects to a large extent,” said Mawladad Hassan, head of the economy department in Uruzgan.
Some residents of remote districts of the province are happy about these projects and said that they don’t have access to health services.
“We need these centers in our area, some people do not have money to transfer their patients to health centers in the city,” said Sayed Mohammad.
“When we need doctors, we have to transfer our patients to the city and sometimes we face issues transferring them,” said Ehsanullah, a resident of Uruzgan.
The governor of Uruzgan pledged that in the near future, they will address the challenges of the shortage of medicine and female doctors in the health centers of the province.
“For the current year, God willing, we will succeed in our efforts and the problem of our compatriots will end,” said Mohammad Alijan Ahmad.
Based on the information of the local officials of Uruzgan, the construction of 56 other health centers will be started in the center and district of the province in the near future.
