A female entrepreneur in Bamyan has created job opportunities for 20 women who are the breadwinners of their households, in the fields of handicrafts and restaurant work, with an investment of more than one hundred thousand Afghanis.

Benazir Ebrahimi, the founder, aims to support women who are the breadwinners of their families through this initiative.

Behnazir told TOLOnews reporter: "Twenty women are busy working here. Women are heavily involved in the shopkeeping and restaurant sectors, and they aim to support their families financially through this place."

The women who have been provided with this job opportunity are asking the current government officials for support in their economic activities.

Roqia Ahmadi, who is busy working in the women's social and economic center, says she is striving to support her six-member family with needle and thread.

Roqia Ahmadi, an entrepreneur, said: "There are six people in my family. I work here, and it is good. My husband is unemployed at home, and we have started with little money."

Atika, another entrepreneur, said: "We make embroidered clothes here and have various handmade and embroidered garments."

Meanwhile, the head of information and culture in Bamyan announced several economic plans to support women's activities in the center and districts of this province.

Safiullah Raed, head of information and culture in Bamyan, said: "Almost seven to eight exhibitions are planned to be held in the center and districts, and another large exhibition will also be held here by UNESCO."

Currently, thousands of women are engaged in producing handicrafts in Bamyan, meeting a large portion of their living needs through the sale of their handmade products.
