Panjshir Authorities Prevent Overpricing During Eid

The Governor of Panjshir has announced the establishment of a specific price list aimed at preventing shopkeepers from overpricing during Eid al-Adha.

Mohammad Agha Hakim said that a special committee has been created in this province to prevent the sale of expired food and medicine.

The Governor of Panjshir said: “For the first time, the market in Panjshir province is being controlled, and shopkeepers cannot sell anything at their desired prices.”

As the days of Eid al-Adha approach, residents of Panjshir, like those in other provinces, are busy with buying, selling, and preparing for the holiday.

Shopkeepers and residents of Panjshir report that trade in the days leading up to Eid has been more active compared to last year.

Mohammad Reza, one of the residents of Panjshir, said: “We adhere to the set prices, and Muslim people avoid overpricing.”

Mahmood, another resident of Panjshir, said: “We had booked in advance, and now we have come to collect our prepared clothes.”

Despite unemployment and economic challenges in many families, most citizens of the country still strive to ensure a joyous and unique Eid by purchasing clothes for their family members and preparing dried and fresh fruits to host guests during the holiday.
