Hundreds of flood-affected families who have been displaced from Murghab district of Ghor province to Ferozkoh city, the center of this province, are living in difficult conditions.
These flood victims told TOLOnews reporters that they have not yet received any assistance from aid organizations or the government and they do not even have bread and water for sustenance.
The flood-affected families who have lost everything are pleading for help.
"We have nothing and have not received any help yet. We want assistance," Ahmad, a resident of Ghor, told TOLOnews.
"We are living here with great difficulty and hardship. The sun burns us during the day and we cannot sleep at night due to the cold. We ask the government to build us shelters. How long will we remain homeless like this?" said Mukhtar, a resident of Herat who has been affected by the floods in Ghor.
Many of these flood victims said they have no food to eat and are in dire need of help from aid organizations and the government.
"Our request from the Islamic Emirate and humanitarian organizations is to help us. We have neither tents nor food, nor a place to live," said Juma Bay, a resident of Ghor.
"Everything we had is under the flood. We have been displaced here and have not received any help yet. We have many problems, and there is no water or bread," said Bilal, another flood victim.
Flood victims in Ferozkoh city, the center of Ghor province, also live in difficult conditions.
"The flood that occurred in Ghor province took my home and livelihood from me, and I have no means of living. The house, dishes, and carpets that I had acquired over years of effort were swept away by the flood," said Najibullah Nazari, who lost his home.
About two and a half months ago, devastating floods hit several districts of Ghor along with Ferozkoh city, destroying thousands of houses and thousands of acres of agricultural land.
