Char Chino Residence: No Access to Health Services

Residents of Char Chino district in Uruzgan complain about the lack of access to healthcare services.

They said that across the entire district, there are no surgical services or treatments for certain other illnesses.

Char Chino is one of the remote districts of this province where residents face various challenges in the healthcare sector.

Waheed Ullah, a resident of Char Chino district, said: "In Char Chino district, there are no specialized doctors like in the center; even for a regular patient, we have to go to the center."

Jawed, another resident of Char Chino district, said: "When you take a patient, they just give a tablet, nothing more—no injections or other treatments for the patient."

However, local officials in Uruzgan said they will address the challenges faced by the residents of this district with the cooperation of some aid organizations.

Agha Wali Inaam, a spokesperson for the governor of Uruzgan, said: "There is an organization that did not operate in Uruzgan before but has now started its activities. They have promised to expand their operations, especially in the health sector."

According to statistics from the Uruzgan Department of Public Health, the province has a population of over one million people, with very limited healthcare services available relative to the population size.
