As the twelfth month of protests in Chaman begins, members of the Chaman protest movement have said in a gathering that Pakistani generals have turned Pashtun areas into war zones.
According to them, Pashtuns have always been oppressed in Pakistan, and the current situation must change.
Members of the movement have warned that they are ready to make any sacrifice to obtain their rights.
Ahmad Khan, a member of the Chaman protest movement, said: "The Pakistani generals have deliberately turned Pashtun areas into war zones and do not want the people of these areas to progress, be educated, or develop."
Ghausullah, another member of this movement, said: "We want Pakistan to end its unjust policies against the people of Chaman, otherwise, we are willing to sacrifice our lives."
The members of this protest movement have emphasized that they will continue their struggle until the Pakistani government revises its decision.
Azam Khan, a member of the Chaman protest movement, said: "People's rights should be respected here, and their rights should be granted. The Durand Line is not acceptable, and we do not accept passports. We must sit together and find a solution to change the situation."
The protests against the Pakistani government's decision to make visas mandatory for crossing the Spin Boldak-Chaman border have continued in Chaman for nearly a year, and so far, the demands of the protesters have not been met.
