Kunduz to Buy 6,000 Tons of Wheat From Local Farmers

The Directorate of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock of Kunduz plans to purchase over 6,000 metric tons of wheat from the province's farmers this solar year.

The purpose of buying wheat in this province is said to be to support farmers and prevent its hoarding in the market.

Salahuddin Wahidi, the head of the agriculture department of Kunduz's Department of Agriculture and Irrigation, said: "One of the goals is to encourage farmers by purchasing wheat at higher prices than the market rate. This wheat will be stored in the silos of the provincial center and used in emergency situations."

Residents of Kunduz said that this initiative, in addition to supporting farmers, will help prevent price gouging and address emergencies.

Qasim Jan, a resident of Kunduz, said: "This is the best decision because our farmers' wheat is purchased at a good price, stored properly, and used in emergencies."

Alamgir, another resident of Kunduz, added: "It's a good move because if there is a drought, the Islamic Emirate will sell it at the same price."

Based on the decision of the Islamic Emirate's leadership, the process of purchasing wheat has also been implemented in other provinces of the country.
