The Baghlan Directorate of Information and Culture said that since the Islamic Emirate came to power, work permits have been issued to 2,000 women.
The acting head of the directorate told TOLOnews that these women are working in the center and districts of the province.
Izzat Mir Haqqani, the acting head of Baghlan's Directorate of Information and Culture, said: "Two thousand businesswomen in the center and districts of Baghlan province are engaged in work and are earning a livelihood for their families through this."
At the same time, the representative of businesswomen in this province said that women are engaged in various activities, running both large and small businesses in different sectors.
Hameeda Sediq, the representative of businesswomen, said: "Women are working in various fields such as carpet weaving, rug weaving, tailoring, leatherworking, and food processing. Some women even run restaurants here."
Some women who are the breadwinners of their families are asking the Islamic Emirate to provide more job opportunities for women in this province.
Najiba, a worker, said: "I am worried about what to do when these three months are over. I have no brother, no one besides Allah. We try to continue, but I must find a way to earn a piece of bread through this work."
Another worker, Fahima, said: "Let us work here permanently. A good project should be established so that we can earn a livelihood for our families."
The Baghlan Directorate of Information and Culture once again emphasized that the rights of all residents of Baghlan are being upheld, and local officials are striving to create more job opportunities for women in this province.
