Cultural Activities Flourish in Badakhshan with Increased Literary Events

A number of residents and cultural activists in Badakhshan, during the launch of a poetry collection, said that cultural activities in the province have increased compared to the past.

According to locals, in recent months, they have witnessed the organization of literary-cultural programs and the launch of several works.

Habib Yamganpur, the author of a book, said: "This collection includes 26 or 27 poems written in the forms of ghazal, ruba'i, do-bayti, and mukhammas."

Qudratullah Alimyar, a cultural activist, said: "Cultural activities are better than before, and in the past two years, many books have been published and launched with the support of the government."

Several other cultural activists in Badakhshan, during the program, called on the caretaker government to pay serious attention to the culture and literature of the country.

Manochehr Khorasani, a cultural activist, said: "Cultural activities have grown, and in the past few months, we have witnessed the launch of several works."

The Directorate of Information and Culture of Badakhshan pledged that efforts are being made to facilitate the publication of works by poets and writers in the province.

Hekmatullah Mohammadi, head of Information at the Directorate of Information and Culture of Badakhshan, said: "We are working with the leadership of the government to publish the efforts of poets and writers and to organize such programs."

According to statistics from the Badakhshan Directorate of Information and Culture, more than 300 poets and writers are currently registered with the directorate.
