60 Development Projects Launched in Paktika Border Districts

Work on 60 development projects, costing 350 million afghani, has commenced in Paktika districts along the hypothetical Durand Line.

These projects are being implemented in accordance with the directive of the leader of the Islamic Emirate in these areas.

The projects include road construction, health centers, new school buildings, the establishment of safe drinking water networks, and various other initiatives.

"In five districts, we have launched 60 projects costing approximately 350 million afghani. This is great news for the residents of the border areas that have been approved,” said Abdul Salam Saadat, the deputy governor of Paktika.

Some residents say they still lack access to basic life amenities.

They call for the implementation of more development projects in their areas.

"This region has been neglected for a very long time, but today, thank God, these projects have been approved for us, and we are grateful,” said Sayed Ahmad, a resident of Paktika.

"Schools, roads, and electricity dams have been approved for us,” said Mohammad Yasin, another resident of Paktika.

"Many youth have studied across the border, but their documents are not recognized here. It’s good that schools are being built here so that young people can obtain Afghan certifications,” Sayed Gul, a Paktika resident, remarked.

According to local officials, these projects are being implemented in the districts of Barmal, Shkin, Warmami, Nimatabad, and Tarwi of Paktika province.
