At least three people were killed and seven others were wounded in an explosion at a funeral ceremony in Laghman province on Monday morning, said Asadullah Dawlatzai, a spokesman for the provincial governor.

The incident happened around 10:30 am local time while the victims were attending a funeral ceremony of a tribal elder and an explosion occurred, Dawlatzai said.

The victims have been taken to nearby hospitals for treatment, he said.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
