The Ministry of Urban Development and Housing is planning the construction of more than 130 towns in Kabul and provinces across the country.
The acting Ministry of Urban Development and Housing, Hamdullah Namani, said the towns will have government and private elements.
“The Ministry of Urban Development and Housing has made plans to form 131 towns across the country. The towns are governmental and non-governmental,” he said.
“The loans will be collected back from the salaries of the employees based on their income,” Noomani added.
“We call on the Islamic Emirate to construct the town and distribute places to those people who don't have residences,” said a Kabul resident.
The Ministry of Urban Development and Housing said that the construction of these towns will provide thousands of people with job opportunities.
