Afghanistan's Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation (MoTCA) said that a number of foreign airlines, including Al Arabiya, Fly Dubai and Turkish Airlines may resume their flights to Kabul.

According to the officials of the ministry, the representatives of these companies have come to Kabul several times to check the airport services.

"Foreign airline companies such as Flydubai, Emirates, Turkish had flights before, and other countries in the region are interested. Talks are ongoing and contracts have been signed, our services are standard, and flights will start,” said Imamuddin Ahmadi, the spokesman for the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation.

Based on figures provided by the Afghanistan traders council in the UAE, Afghan investors have made significant investments in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and other UAE cities totaling more than tens of millions of dollars.

Some businessmen believe that the start of these flights will provide the grounds for domestic investments.

Jamal Nasser Ebadi, a businessman in the United Arab Emirates, said: "If Emirates, Flydubai, and Al Arabiya airlines start their flights, it would be extremely useful and good for businessmen."

Meanwhile, Afghanistan's Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) says that resuming flights of major aviation companies is important for increasing the country's exports.

Officials of ACCI added that it is necessary to issue a visa along with the flight for businessmen.

"My request is that visas should be facilitated along with the flights for businessmen and for people who go for medical treatment,” said Khanjan Alokozai, a member of the ACCI.

Currently, along with two domestic companies, Iran's Mahan and Taban Airlines, and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) fly to Afghanistan.
