The Ministry of Industry and Commerce said that in 1401 (solar year) business licences given to women have increased by 66 percent. 

A spokesman for Industry and Commerce said that women's participation in business will have a good impact on the country's economic progress and will reduce poverty. 

“Women's business activity in 1401 (solar year) had a 66 percent increase compared with last year. In 1401, 641 women received licenses…,” said Abdul Salam Jawad, spokesman for the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.    

Meanwhile, the Women's Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that they have held exhibitions abroad for Afghan women.

 “We hold exhibitions, we want to reopen the airlines or the air corridors to them and we are still able to create exhibitions abroad for Afghan women,” said Salma Yosifzai, CEO of the Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry. 

Some businesswomen called on the Islamic Emirate to provide more trade opportunities for them.

“We ask the Islamic Emirate to pay more attention to businesswomen so that we can at least be self-sufficient,” said Aqila, a businesswoman.  

“The number of women is falling; previously, there were 100 women working with me, now there are 20," said Bibi, a businesswoman.
