Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, deputy prime minister for economic affairs, referred to the establishment of six standard zones for processing export products at a ceremony on Thursday.
Baradar said that currently, exports are being conducted from 13 provinces to countries around the world.
Speaking at the ceremony celebrating National Export Day and honoring the top exporters of the year 1402, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar added that the Islamic Emirate is in discussions to create more facilities for merchants and preferential trade tariffs with various countries.
According to the deputy prime minister for economic affairs, to ensure high-quality exports, discussions have been held with some foreign companies to standardize the country's transit points.
He also urged merchants to consider the Islamic Emirate's economy-centric policy and strive for the growth of Afghanistan's economy and trade.
Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar said at the ceremony: "I give good news to investors that by the order of the leader of the Islamic Emirate and according to global standards, processing zones will be established in Kabul and six other provinces."
Noor-Ul-Haq Anwar, the head of the general directorate of the Islamic Emirate in Administrative Affairs, who was one of the speakers at the ceremony, said: "For 40 years, it has been known to everyone that no one was against the Jihad against the Soviet Union, but half the world was against this Jihad, and the support that exists now is from the merchant class."
The acting Minister of Industry and Commerce at the ceremony announced work on a five-year plan to increase and balance Afghanistan's exports and assured efforts to reopen air and land corridors to expand trade and transit relations with regional countries.
Ataullah Omari, Acting Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock, said: "Day and night, our professionals and experts are busy in China, Russia, and various countries learning and transferring knowledge in science, technology, and other fields so that we can raise the capacity of our livestock here."
Meanwhile, the Chamber of Commerce and Investment and the Chamber of Industries and Mines have emphasized supporting merchants and industrialists in the country.
Officials from these two chambers stated that to increase exports and grow Afghanistan's economy, more global markets need to be established to export the country's products and minerals, especially coal.
Mohammad Yunus Momand, the First Deputy of the Chamber of Commerce and Investment, said: "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs should cooperate with us in this area, the Ministry of Commerce should cooperate so that we can hold seminars in those regions."
Shirbaz Kaminzada, head of the Afghanistan Chamber of Industry and Mines, said: "If you have 8 billion imports and 2 billion exports, it won't work this way; this is a truth that we must convey to our leaders."
At the end of the ceremony celebrating National Export Day, exporters in seventeen sectors, including fresh fruit, dried fruit, vegetables, carpets, minerals, and saffron, were honored.
