The acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, who visited the third National and International Imam Abu Hanifa Exhibition today (Tuesday), told TOLOnews that in the near future, Afghanistan’s products will be displayed in exhibitions in Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and the United Arab Emirates.
Nooruddin Azizi, the acting Minister, described these exhibitions as a valuable opportunity to introduce Afghanistan’s products to international markets.
"We have agreed to hold an exhibition of Afghan products in Baku, and following that, we will have a winter exhibition in Dubai, where Afghanistan's agricultural products will be showcased," Nooruddin Azizi said.
Some participants of the third Imam Abu Hanifa Exhibition told TOLOnews that public interest in the exhibition has grown, and they have already signed several agreements. Sanam Latifzada, one of the participants, said, "Organizing this exhibition is very effective for selling Afghan products, boosting Afghanistan's economy, and expanding our trade."
In addition to domestic participants, Iranian traders have also displayed their products in nearly 150 booths at the exhibition. Babak Khalaj, an Iranian participant, told TOLOnews: "This exhibition and similar events can align knowledge holders with Afghanistan's current and daily needs. We are happy to help in the development of the railway."
Hossein Dehqan, another Iranian participant, said: "We were able to connect with Afghan traders and large food and industrial companies, presenting our products and working together better than before."
The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment reported that more than 700 booths were set up for traders to showcase their products. Tawakal Ahmadyar, head of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, told TOLOnews: "This exhibition, which was held yesterday, has about 700 booths, of which approximately 150 are foreign exhibitors, mostly Iranians."
This comes after several exhibitions were held this year, both inside Afghanistan and in countries like Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and China, in which Afghan traders also participated.
