Third Imam Abu Hanifa Exhibition Concludes with Successful Trade Deals

The third Imam Abu Hanifa Exhibition, which featured 700 booths in Kabul, concluded today (Saturday, October 12).

The Chamber of Commerce and Investment reported that 700,000 people visited the exhibition, and 100 contracts were signed between Afghan and foreign traders, along with 324 contracts between local entrepreneurs, amounting to a total value of 110 million afghani.

Officials from the Chamber of Commerce and Investment emphasized the importance of continuing exhibitions that promote domestic products in the country.

Mohammad Younus Mohmand, the Deputy Head of the Chamber of Commerce and Investment, stated: “We are grateful to the honorable women who worked shoulder to shoulder with us. The good thing is that all of them followed the conditions of Islamic Sharia and the guidelines of the Ministry of Vice and Virtue and participated in this exhibition with us.”

At the closing ceremony of the Imam Abu Hanifa Exhibition, a message from the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate was also read.

Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs, called on the international community to remove the challenges faced by Afghan traders and investors, to help expand Afghanistan's trade with the world.

Mawlawi Abdul Kabir said: "We call on all countries to remove the obstacles facing Afghan traders and investors. Creating problems for Afghan investors, closing access routes, and raising taxes unlawfully will damage the economic cooperation and relations between Afghanistan and neighboring countries."

Meanwhile, officials from the Ministries of Industry and Commerce, as well as the Ministry of Economy, spoke of the country's economic and commercial progress and reiterated the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to supporting the private sector. They said that the challenges facing investors and industrialists are being gradually reduced and resolved.

Ahmadullah Zahid, Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce, said: "The leadership of the Islamic Emirate is fully committed to making Afghanistan self-sufficient and advancing its economic progress."

Abdul Latif Nazari, the Deputy Minister of Economy, added: "We are one of the most successful political systems in the region in terms of transparent tax collection, export development, controlling and reducing inflation, and maintaining the stability of the national currency."

According to the Chamber of Commerce and Investment, of the 700 booths set up at the exhibition, 130 were reserved for women, and seventy Iranian companies also participated in selling their products.
