Three-Day Afghan-Kazakh Exhibition Opens in Almaty

The second three-day Afghan-Kazakh exhibition was inaugurated in the city of Almaty, Kazakhstan, with the presence of the acting Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Islamic Emirate and the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.

Nooriddin Azizi, the acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, described the exhibition as beneficial for strengthening the economic, trade, and transit relations between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan. He urged Kazakhstan to provide more facilities for Afghan exports to regional markets.

Nooruddin Azizi said: "We ask the countries of the region, especially the friendly and brotherly country of Kazakhstan, to provide full support and facilities for Afghan products, which are of good quality, to promote their exports and ensure easy access to regional and global markets."

At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan referred to Afghanistan as an important and inseparable trade partner for Kazakhstan in South and Central Asia. He emphasized that Kazakhstan is keen to maintain trade, economic, transport, logistics, and energy relations with Afghanistan.

Serik Zhumangarin, the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, said: "Kazakhstan is not only limited to exporting its products to Afghanistan but also assists in the entry of Afghan goods into our market, and the Afghan-Kazakh exhibition confirms this."

Meanwhile, some Afghan participants, who showcased Afghan products at the exhibition, expressed their satisfaction with the event.

"Our request from the Islamic Emirate is to organize more such exhibitions so that the people of Afghanistan can easily introduce and present Afghan domestic products to the world," said Shaikh Rahmani, a booth holder.

"We are very happy that this exhibition is being held outside the country," said Mohammad Zia Qaderi, another booth holder.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, in the Afghan-Kazakh exhibition, 250 Afghan traders displayed domestic products, including sweets, dried and fresh fruits, jewelry, handicrafts, leather products, carpets, and construction materials, in 70 booths, 12 of which were allocated to women, for a period of three days.
