Owners of 57 local companies have attended a two-day an agricultural expo in the city of Mumbai in India.

The event, titled Nature’s Best, has been held by the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock with the help of the United States Agency for International Development, a spokesman of the ministry of agriculture, Akbar Rustami said. 

Senior government officials, including the deputy minister of agriculture for administration and finance, Mohammad Tahir Ayub, attended the inauguration of the expo on Friday. 

Rustami said that so far, 800 foreign investors have registered to visit the expo.

“Dry and fresh fruit, medical plants, saffron, honey and other products have been put on display in this exhibition. 

He said that it is expected that the Afghan investors would get contracts worth $30 million with different Indian companies. 

Afghan investors said they hope they will sign contracts with Indian companies during this event.

“The exhibition is effective for us. It helps us to introduce our products to the world,” said Hayatullah Khan, an Afghan investor. 

“Our goal of attending this exhibition is to achieve big contracts. Indian investors are going to visit the exhibition and we want to sign contracts with them and export Afghanistan’s fruit to them,
