DABS Sets Up Easy Mobile Phone Payment Facility

Afghanistan’s power supply company, Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) has signed an agreement with Azizi Bank whereby its customers have easy access to paying their electricity bills online.

Amanullah Ghalib, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat and Managing Director of Azizi Bank inaugurated the AZI-PAY Mobile Wallet this week - an online service for payment of Breshna bills through Azizi Bank.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of AZI-PAY Mobile Wallet, Ghalib said: “Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat works steadily to bring about positive changes in service delivery, revenue collection and payment of bills. AZI-PAY is a very good initiative which prevents every type of possible monetary corruption and other technical mistakes.”

“We often receive complaints from customers who ask how they can pay their electricity bills on time, and how can we provide better services to them? Therefore, we have made payment services easier and Azizi Bank took the initiative,” said Ghalib.

DABS trade affairs chairman Ahmad Khalid Stanikzai said the power company hopes that other banks will also partner with them so that the concept can reach more clients.

“We call on other banks to join Breshna Sherkat in this initiative and talk about cooperation of the system of the Breshna Sherkat with banks. This will help our customers who have accounts at other banks to pay their bills online,” said Stanikzai.
