Lack of Security Challenges Online Market in Kabul

Owners of online companies in Kabul city said on Wednesday that the lack of security is causing serious problems in their work over the past few months.
 
Kabul city has online services that transfer goods such as clothes, shoes, mobile phones, home appliances to different parts of the city, 
 
Some workers of the online company hit and robbed by unknown men on the way while delivering the materials.
 
Syed Ziauddin Hashimi, owner of an online company said that their selling has decreased by 50%.
 
“The driving services has its own problems. One of the problems is lack of security--there are more thieves now who take our materials,” added Hashimi.
 
Mohammad Monib Ibrahimi, head of an online company, said his workers must reject some orders, or invite buyers to pick up goods at a safer place.
 
“We had cases in Qasaba, Arzan Qimat, in Qala-e-shanan… our workers delivered materials to the areas, the worker was hit by unknown men, who took his motorcycle and money,” added Ibrahimi.
 
Meanwhile, Kabul police headquarters said last Saturday that they had arrested more than 50 persons charged with robbing and murdering in Kabul city, however, the investors’ concerns have not decreased regarding the lack of security.
 
Based on statistics of Chamber of Commerce and Investment of Afghanistan, at least 30 cases of murder and kidnap of investors have been registered with them since the past month.
