UNAMA, on Twitter, has urged the Afghan electoral authorities to provide “clear and concise answers to legitimate technical questions from candidates about results management process.”

“Suspension of audit and recount process provides opportunity for IEC to respond to these key issues. This action should occur without delay so recount and audit process can re-start, and lead to timely announcement of credible and acceptable election results,” UNAMA said.
