GOFTMAN: Afghanistan’s Constitution Discussed

Afghanistan recently marked the 14th anniversary of the implementation of the country’s new constitution. With this in mind, TOLOnews looks at where the constitution stands with regards to the National Unity Government.

Soon after the implementation of the constitution however, reports emerged of certain parts having been manipulated and debate around this continues to this day. 

Reports that sections of the constitution have been violated by bother the former and incumbent administrations under former president Hamid Karzai’s and the NUG respectively continue. 

Recently, the Constitutional Review Committee claimed violations of the constitution were widespread. Second Vice President Sarwar Danish also said the constitution was being violated in Afghanistan!
