43 New Coronavirus Cases Reported in Afghanistan

The Ministry of Public Health on Tuesday reported 43 new cases of COVID-19 out of 232 samples tested over the last 24 hours.     

So far, 107,399 samples have been tested in government centers and there are 5,291 known active COVID-19 cases in the country, according to data from the Ministry of Public Health.     

In the last 24 hours, the ministry also reported one death and 25 recoveries from COVID-19.     

The number of total cases is now 38,815, the total number of reported deaths is 1,426, and the total recoveries is 32,098.     

The cases were reported in Herat (29), Kabul (4), Balkh (5), Badakhshan (3), Jawzjan (1) and Nuristan (1) provinces.  

The number of deaths from COVID-19 globally is more than 928,763 and the number of global coronavirus cases is 29,303,757, according to Johns Hopkins University.
