The surgery of a child suffering from severe bone disease was recently conducted successfully in Sardar Mohammad Dawood Khan Hospital in Kabul.

Sara, 13, was struggling with a severe bone disease, however, she is now able to walk.

“I had visited many hospitals but I had not been treated. Then I came to the Sardar Mohammad Dawood Khan Hospital. A surgery was conducted last year, but it is good now,” she said.

The family of the child expressed happiness and said that they were unable to treat their child earlier due to economic challenges.

“I am thankful in particular for the senior doctors,” said Toor Mohammad, Sara’s father.

One of the doctors of the Sardar Mohammad Dawood Khan Hospital said there are still professionals at the hospital.

“There have been good talents at Sardar Mohammad Dawood Khan Hospital before and now too. The doctors of this hospital have always sought to provide good treatment to the citizens,” said Abdul Wali Ahmadzai, a senior doctor at the hospital.

This comes as many Afghans are traveling to neighboring countries for their medical treatment.
