279 New COVID-19 Cases Reported in 15 Provinces

The Ministry of Public Health reported 279 new positive cases of COVID-19 out of 592 samples tested in the last 24 hours in 15 provinces. The ministry also reported 38 new COVID-19 deaths and 202 recoveries.

With this, the total COVID-19 cases in the country reached 32,951, the total deaths reached 864 and the total number of recoveries is 19,366.

Meanwhile, the number of known active cases of COVID-19 in the country is 12,721 and so far, 75,747 samples have been tested, according to data by the Ministry of Public Health.

Bamyan was on the top of the list with 80 new cases followed by Khost with 43 cases and Badakhshan with 33. Nuristan was at the bottom of the list with one positive cases in the last 24 hours, based on data by the ministry.

The recoveries were reported in Balkh (47), Paktia (58), Samangan (28), Kandahar (23), Takhar (30), Baghlan (17), Logar (15), Kunduz (5), Badakhshan (20), Wardak (1), and Uruzgan (12).

The deaths were reported in Kabul (10), Herat (10), Balkh (4),Takhar (2), Baghlan (5), Kunduz (2), and Badakhshan (5).
