The Ministry of Public Health on Sunday reported 74 new cases of the coronavirus out of 420 samples tested over the last 24 hours.    

So far, 104,575 samples have been tested in government centers and there are 6,449 known active COVID-19 cases in the country, according to data from the Ministry of Public Health.    

In the last 24 hours, the ministry also reported three new deaths from COVID-19 and 460 recoveries.    

The number of total cases is now 38,398, the total reported deaths is 1,412, and the total recoveries is 30,537.    

The cases were reported in Kabul (14), Balkh (10), Ghor (18), Herat (5), Kandahar (5), Nangarhar (5), Baghlan (1), Kunduz (1), Badghis (6), Kunar (1), Panjshir (2), Sar-e-Pul (4) and Nuristan (2) provinces.   

The number of deaths from COVID-19 globally is more than 879,914 and the number of global coronavirus cases is 26,902,024, according to Johns Hopkins University.
