Football: Helmand’s Esmat Laghmani vs. Herat’s Sorkh Poshan

Helmand’s Esmat Laghmani will face Herat’s Sorkh Poshan in western Herat province on Thursday for the Afghanistan Champions League.

The match will start at 4:30 pm local time at Herat’s Football Federation Stadium. 

Wednesday’s match between Farah’s Abu Muslim and Kandahar’s Aino Mina finished in a 1-1 draw. 

Ahmad Bani scored the goal for Aino Mina, and Farid Hakemi evened it up at 78 minutes with a penalty shot.

12 teams from six zones are competing in the league, and the matches will be held in Kabul, Herat and Balkh provinces. 

The first round of the league took place in Kabul, and the second in Balkh.   

The third round began in Herat province yesterday.  

The clubs competing in the league are: Khost's Cloub Atalan, Parwan’s Jabal Siraj, Laghman’s Jawanan, Kabul’s Istiqlal, Herat’s Sorkh Poshan, Helmand’s Esmat Laghmani, Farah’s Abu Muslim, Takhar’s Mawj Sahel, Kandahar’s Aino Mina, Sar-e-Pul’s Khadim FC, Kunduz’s Wahidy and Faryab’s Khurasan.
