Afghan karate athletes residing in Iran secured eleven gold, silver, and bronze medals for Afghanistan in the first round of the Asian "Sokyokushin" Karate Championship.
Officials from the Karate Federation said that the first round of the Asian "Sokyokushin" Karate Championship was hosted by Iran in the city of Isfahan from September 5-8.
In the end, the 28-member team of Afghan migrants living in Iran won six gold, two silver, and three bronze medals after defeating their opponents in this event.
In addition to winning eleven gold, silver, and bronze medals, the Afghan migrant sports caravan was recognized as the runner-up after Iran and ranked third in the senior category, following Iran and Iraq.
