The South African national cricket team arrived in the United Arab Emirates on Saturday night to play three one-day matches against Afghanistan.
The players from Afghanistan are currently engaged in a training camp under the supervision of their coaches in Sharjah, UAE, to prepare for the three upcoming international one-day matches against their guests from South Africa.
Afghanistan Cricket Board officials said that the Blue Tigers will play their first match against South Africa on Wednesday this week at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the UAE.
The national cricket teams of Afghanistan and South Africa will face each other in three 50-over matches from the 18th to the 22nd of this month.
The Afghan cricketers will face South Africa in less than three days, following the cancellation of the only Test match between Afghanistan and New Zealand due to continuous rain in India.
