The Afghanistan national cricket team arrived in Lahore, Pakistan, this morning (Wednesday, February 12) to participate in the Champions Trophy.
The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) told TOLOnews that the team will hold its second training camp in Pakistan to prepare for the tournament.
According to ACB officials, before the official matches of the Champions Trophy begin, the Afghan national team will play two warm-up matches against Pakistan A and New Zealand A teams.
Afghanistan will face Pakistan A in its first practice match on Friday (February 14) and New Zealand A in its second practice match on February 16.
In the Champions Trophy, Afghanistan is placed in a group with England, South Africa, and Australia. Their first official match is scheduled for February 21 against South Africa.
The Champions Trophy tournament, hosted by Pakistan, will begin on February 19.
