The Afghanistan national Beach Football Team is set to play four friendly matches in Thailand as part of their training camp. They will face Japan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and China.
Maisam Ashteyani, the head coach for the Afghan Beach Football Team, told TOLOnews that these preparatory matches are part of the team’s preparations for the 2025 AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup.
According to officials from the Afghanistan Football Federation, the national team will begin their training camp in Thailand on March 7, 2025.
The purpose of this camp and the friendly matches is to better prepare the national beach soccer team for the 2025 AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup.
Afghanistan has been placed in Group C alongside the United Arab Emirates, Iran, and Indonesia.
The AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup will be held in Thailand starting on March 20, 2025.
