Sayed Mahmood Zia Dashti, the president of the Sambo Kurash Federation, announced that Afghanistan will host the international Rustami wrestling competition this year.

This event will be held in two sections and hosted by Herat province.

In addition to Afghanistan’s national Rustami wrestling team, athletes from more than 10 other countries will also participate in the competition.

Officials from the Sambo Kurash Federation have emphasized that the tournament will be held with the support of the sports administration of the interim government.

This comes after the Sambo Kurash Federation previously hosted the Asian championships of this sport in Kabul.
