ACB Eyes Bringing New Talents To National Cricket Team

The selection committee of Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) on Friday announced a list of young who will attend a two-week training camp in India.

The ACB will select best players from the 21 young cricketers for the national team.

According to ACB, 22 members of the national team will also join the young players in the training camp.

From the 43 players, 24 of them will be selected for the national team to play in the cricket world cup.

“They are the players who we think are good for future of Afghanistan’s cricket and can fill the gaps in the national team,” said Wali Amin, member of the selection committee.

Head of the selection committee Nawroz Mangal said the goal of the training camp is to select best players for the national team in order to be prepared for the Cricket World Cup 2019.

“After the completion of the training, 24 out of 43 players will be selected for the national cricket team,” Mangal said.

This comes after Afghanistan qualified for the Cricket World Cup 2019 after winning the world cup qualifier championship last month.
