Ten fighters from Afghanistan, Iran, and Pakistan attended the eight round of the this season’s mixed martial arts (MMA) tournament, called Fight Night, in Kabul on Friday.

The competition is held once in every two months.

Khan Mohammad Eshaqzai and Abdul Basir from Afghanistan entered the cage in the first match which ended with a victory by Eshaqzai with a submission.

The second match was held between Samiullah Faraji and Samir Mukhlis from Afghanistan in which Mukhlis defeated Faraji in the first round with a knockout.

Porya Gulpoor from Iran and Esmatullah Adil from Afghanistan entered the cage in the third match. The match ended after three rounds with the difference of points in Adil’s favor.

The fourth match was held between Zaki Scraper Rasuli from Afghanistan and Aram Rahimi from Iran in which Rasuli knocked out his Iranian rival in the first round.

“I thank my trainers and I was ready physically for the match and thank you all who supported me,” said Rasuli.

In the last match, Najam Khan from Pakistan defeated his Afghan rival Abdulwadood Matin in the first round.

“Thank you, Afghanistan for giving me so much love and prestige. I love you and please accept my love too,” Khan said.

“In every match, there is a loser and a winner. I don’t accept losing and once again I am challenging him,” said Matin.

The event was organized by MOBY Group in association with the Snow Leopard Fighting Championship (SLFC) to promote mixed martial arts and introduce the sport to the people.
