Five members of Afghanistan’s snowboard team will compete today in the First Pakistan International Snowboarding Open Cup which runs from February 16 to 22.

This is the first time that Afghanistan’s snowboarders are participating in an international competition.

The five athletes are from Panjshir, Bamiyan and Kabul provinces and represent Afghanistan country in the competition.  

Previously the snowboarders also participated in a four-day competition at a winter games competition in Bamiyan.
