Afghanistan’s National Football Team remains in 149th place in the new FIFA ranking released on Thursday.

Afghanistan earned 1051 total points, to hold its place. 
 
The Afghan squad is 30th in Asia, according to the rankings.
 
Afghanistan's national footballers will attend the Football World Cup Qualifiers in Qatar next one month. Also, they will attend the Asian Cup 2023 qualifiers in Bangladesh.
 
With few matches on the international front so far this year, there is little movement in the first FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking of 2020.
 
With just 15 friendly matches taking place since the last ranking update in December – including two games in late 2019 – the top 20 so far remain unchanged, with Belgium, France, and Brazil still making up the top three.
 
Some minor movements in the top 50 see Wales (23rd, down 1) and Paraguay (41st, down 1) each fall down a spot, while Ghana (46th, up 1) has risen slightly.
 
Palestine (103rd, up 3) is the first biggest climbers of 2020.
 
Beaten Bangabandhu Cup finalists Burundi (149, up 2), who, like Palestine, contested four matches in January, move into the top 150.
 
Elsewhere, Aruba (200, up 1) and Pakistan (200, up 1) also managed to improve on their respective positions.
