TAWDE KHABARE: Reactions To Saleh’s Attack Discussed

A blast targeted the convoy of First Vice President Amrullah Saleh on Wednesday morning in the Taimani area of Kabul city. VP Saleh survived, sustaining only minor injuries, but the MoI said at least 10 people were killed and 16 were wounded, while other sources say the number of casualties--both dead and wounded--is significantly higher.

The Presidential Palace in a statement condemned the attack and said that such incidents will not weaken the "strong will of the people for peace" and that the security and defense forces will continue to fight terrorism.

The US peace envoy for Afghanistan, Zalmay Khalilzad, in reaction to the attack, said that the peace "spoilers" are becoming desperate in their attempt to disrupt Afghan peace talks.

In this episode host Fawad Akbarzai discusses the topic with the following guests:

Azizi Ahmad Wardak, former military personal

Iqbal Khyber, People's Peace Movement
