Shaheen Asmayee Advances to APL Finals

The Shaheen Asmayee football club advanced to the final of the Afghan Premier League (APL) after a 2-0 win against De Spin Ghar Bazan in a thrilling match on Monday evening.

The first goal was scored by Amanullah Sardari in the first half of the match. Then many chances were provided for the two teams, but the first half ended with one goal from Shaheen.

The second goal was scored by Sardari in the second half. Bazan made many attempts on goal but were unsuccessful.

This is the eighth time Shaheen has advanced to the final of the Afghan Premier League.

Shaheen Asmayee won the title for four consecutive years from 2014 to 2018, but their winning streak was stopped by Toofan Harirod of the west zone in 2018.

The next match will be held between Toofan Harirod and Simorgh Alborz.

Amanullah Sardari was named man of the match.

Shaheen Asmayee, De Maiwand Atalan, Toofan Harirod, Simorgh Alborz, Mawjhai Amu, De Spinghar Bazan, De Abasin Sape, and Oqaban Hindukush are the eight APL teams representing all 34 provinces in Afghanistan.

Last year, Toofan Harirod from the west zone won the league title. Toofan Harirod has won the title three times.

APL was launched eight years ago and starts with regional selection tournaments in various areas of the country, and then ends with eighteen national league matches in Kabul.This year the league matches will continue until October 16.
